Where does secretary day come from?
Secretary Day originally comes from the United States, where there is a long tradition of honoring administrative employees. It was first celebrated in the Netherlands in 1989, when Secretaresse Magazine, now known as Management Support Magazine, introduced it to our country together with the flower industry. Back then it was still called Secretaries Day, which clearly shows that it comes from America. But now it has become completely ingrained in our corporate culture and we call it secretary's day!

Secretary Day is every year on the third Thursday of April. This year, secretary day falls on Thursday, April 18. On this special day, employers and managers put their employees and assistants in the spotlight.
